Pmec
Composition
Pmec Cream: Each gram cream contains Pimecrolimus INN 10 mg.
Indication
Pmec Cream is indicated as second-line therapy for the short-term and
noncontinuous chronic treatment of mild to moderate atopic dermatitis in
non-immunocompromised adults and children 2 years of age and older, who have failed to respond adequately to other topical prescription treatments or when those treatments are not advisable.
Dose & Administration
Skin should be cleaned before applying the cream. One finger tip unit (measured by distance from the tip of an adult index finger to the first crease of that finger) to be applied thinly and evenly on the affected area of skin twice daily. (PHYSICIAN
MAY ADJUST THE DOSE). Treatment should be stopped if signs and symptoms
(e.g. itch, rash and redness) resolve. If signs and symptoms persist and beyond 6
weeks, patients should be re-examined to confirm the diagnosis of atopic
dermatitis. A patient should not use sun lamps, tanning beds, or get treatment with
ultraviolet light therapy during treatment with Pmec Cream. Continuous long-term
use of Pimecrolimus should be avoided. A patient should not cover the skin being
treated with bandages, dressings or wraps. Loose fitting clothing that protects the
treated area from the sun are encouraged.
Phoscon
Composition:
Phoscon Tablet: Each film coated tablet contains Ferric Citrate INN equivalent to Ferric Iron 210 mg.
Indications:
* The control of serum phosphorus levels in adult patients with chronic kidney disease on dialysis
* The treatment of iron deficiency anemia in adult patients with chronic kidney disease not on dialysis.
Dosage & Administration:
Hyperphosphatemia in Chronic Kidney Disease on Dialysis:
* Starting dose is 2 tablets orally 3 times per day with meals
* Adjust dose by 1 to 2 tablets as needed to maintain serum phosphorus at target levels, up to a maximum of 12 tablets daily. Dose can be titrated at 1-week or longer intervals.
Iron Deficiency Anemia in Chronic Kidney Disease not on Dialysis:
* Starting dose is 1 tablet orally 3 times per day with meals
* Adjust dose as needed to achieve and maintain hemoglobin goal, up to a maximum of 12 tablets daily or as directed by the physician.
For Iron Deficiency Anemia:
120-240 mg elemental Fe3+ iron per day immediately after meal for 7 weeks.
Pires D
Composition:
Pires™-D Syrup: Each 5 ml syrup contains Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide BP 6.5 mg, Levomenthol BP 2 mg and Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride BP 14 mg.
Indication:
Pires™-D Syrup is indicated as an antitussive, for the relief of persistent, dry, irritating cough, and aiding restful sleep.
Dose & Administration:
Adults and children over 12 years: 2 teaspoonful syrup 4 times a day or as directed by the physicians. Do not take more than 8 teaspoonful syrup in 24 hours.
Pires M
Composition:
Pires™-M Syrup: Each 5 ml syrup contains Guaifenesin BP 100 mg,Levomenthol BP 1.1 mg and Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride BP 14 mg.
Indication:
Pires™-M Syrup is indicated for the relief of cough, associated congestive symptoms and aiding restful sleep.
Dose & Administration:
Adults and children over 12 years: 2 teaspoonful syrup 4 times a day or as directed by the physicians. Do not take more than 8 teaspoonful syrup in 24 hours.
Prulicon
Composition
Prulicon 1 Tablet: Each film coated tablet contains Prucalopride Succinate INN equivalent to Prucalopride 1 mg.
Prulicon 2 Tablet: Each film coated tablet contains Prucalopride Succinate INN equivalent to Prucalopride 2 mg.
Indication
Prucalopride is indicated for Chronic Idiopathic Constipation.
Dose & Administration
Adults (18 years of age and older): 2 mg once daily.
Elderly (over 65 years of age): 1 mg once daily.
Patients with severe renal impairment: 1 mg once daily. Should be taken with or without food or as directed by the physician.
Pregan ER
Composition
Pregan ER 82.5: Each extended release tablet contains Pregabalin BP 82.5 mg.
Pregan ER 165: Each extended release tablet contains Pregabalin BP 165 mg.
Indications
• Diabetic peripheral neuropathy
• Post-herpetic neuralgia
• Menopausal depression
Dosage & Administration
The recommended dose is Once daily. Pregabalin ER tablet should be administered once daily after an evening meal. It should be swallowed whole and should not be split, crushed or chewed.
Pizofen
COMPOSITION :
Pizofen™ Tablet : Each film coated tablet contains Pizotifen
malate BP equivalent to Pizotifen 0.5 mg
Pizofen™ TS Tablet : Each film coated tablet contains Pizotifen
malate BP equivalent to Pizotifen 1.5 mg
INDICATION :
It is used as prophylactic treatment of vascular headaches of the migraine types, such as classic migraine, common migraine and cluster headache.
DOSE AND ADMINISTRATION :
Adult : Usually 1.5 mg daily, which may be taken as a single
dose at night or in three divided doses. Dose should be adjusted to individual patient's requirements. Upto a maximum of 4.5 mg may be given as a single dose daily.
Children : Dose is 1 mg as a single dose at night using 0.5 mg
tablet. Maximum dose is upto 1.5 mg daily usually in divided
dose.
